When we found our place in the historic Marktstraße, we simply wanted to create a cosy, welcoming space – somewhere people would enjoy spending time. That it would become a kind of "living room" was never the plan. It just happened, as people started feeling at home. A place where the architecture is old, but the feeling is fresh.
Cafe Bardeli is a family project. Aina is the face of the house – she ensures the atmosphere is always right, while the kitchen is Morne's world. Together with his right hand Simon, they run a fine casual menu built on slow-food philosophy and absolutely no shortcuts. Whether you're here for our signature brunch or a dish prepared late in the afternoon – we believe: what is worth serving is worth doing right.
We bring an international perspective to everything we do, combined with a deep respect for the best local produce. That's why our coffee comes from Trevo in the Bregenzerwald and our desserts are baked right in our kitchen. While we appreciate the energy of a busy lunch service, we know that life doesn't always follow a traditional schedule. That's why we keep the kitchen open late – so you can get a proper meal when you really need one.
We are a small, international team, obsessed with quality, local craft, and the desire to give you a place to settle in and stay awhile.
Welcome to the family.

Our Service
Service at Cafe Bardeli: Professional but personal
We believe that good food tastes even better when you truly feel welcome. Service at Bardeli means no white gloves or formalities – it is the kind of hospitality we would extend to a friend in our own home. Whether Aina greets you at the door or we guide you through the unexpected flavour combinations of the day – we keep everything relaxed, professional and personal.
We have traded the rush feeling of the traditional restaurant for a rhythm that allows you to truly enjoy your time on Marktstraße. We are there when you need us – and step back when you simply want to sink into the moment.
